5 years after 9/11, many angry at U.S.

PARIS - The nations of the world joined Monday in solemn remembrance of Sept. 11 — but for many, resentment of the United States flowed as readily as tears.

Critics say Americans have squandered the goodwill that prompted France's Le Monde newspaper to proclaim "We are all Americans" that somber day after the attacks, and that the Iraq war and other U.S. policies have made the world less safe in the five years since.

Heads bowed in moments of silence for the 3,000 killed in the attacks on New York and Washington — while a top al-Qaida leader issued new warnings in a videotape. And dissident voices brushed the portrait of a planet that has traded in civil liberties and other democratic rights in its war on terror.

Even German Chancellor Angela Merkel — an advocate of closer ties with Washington — had veiled criticism of the United States, saying: "The ends cannot justify the means."

Hmmm, this is the same Angela Markel that said "tolerance and respect for other cultures" must be hallmarks of the international fight against terror? Seems odd, us getting a lesson in tolerance and respect from Germany.

Someone please tell me, what truth are we all still looking for? What answers do you still require?

A very definable group of people have declared war on anybody who does not immediately convert to their perverted and twisted religion. These are not my words, but theirs, over and over again. They are not veiled mis-interpretations, but real threats from real people with real guns and real intentions.

The enemy is not hard to identify, its a shame anybody can be confused over this matter. We must stamp out the radical extremist Muslims. They are the people who lack tolerance and respect, and we need not search any longer for obvious answers to these questions.

Continued strength and necessary force, these are the hallmarks to a successful fight against terror, speaking the only language they understand. Remember, this is a real war with real enemies who really want to kill you.

Rice, Cheney, and the Bush family are radical extremist Muslims?
