This is a picture of my aunt, Karen (Katie) Luquette, from about 12 years ago. She has since then lost weight and is VERY thin now, and her hair is more gray but she dyes it dark brown or black. She has no teeth. She has green eyes and is about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing maybe 105-110 pounds. She is a smoker. She has olive-toned skin. She was at home in Lake Oaks subdivision near the University of New Orleans the night Katrina hit, and she was alone with 3 dogs and 2 cats; the phones were dead when we tried to contact her an hour later, and she has not been heard from since. We have heard that she may have evacuated to Birmingham, Alabama, but we can't find out if that's true or not, and she does not know anyone there. Karen is on blood pressure medicine. She has no tattoos but has a small scar on the end of her nose and a mole on her chin. She said she refused to evacuate but if she did leave before the flood, she may have taken my grandfather's car, a gray, 4-door, 2005 Crown-Victoria with a Louisiana license plate. The rest of her family is evacuated to Texas now except for me, Natalie Burnett; I am in Minneapolis, Minnesota. If anyone has information about her, please contact me at NurseAngel.Burnett@Gmail.com or BritHistorian@Gmail.com.
